AI is no longer a novelty but a strategic tool. The consensus was clear: use AI to personalize messages, optimize media mix, and accelerate creativity, always linking marketing metrics to business results such as revenue or LTV. LiveRamp emphasized that AI is no longer experimental but an integrated resource in operations and purpose-driven creativity (LiveRamp, 2025).
- Brand and performance: mandatory integration
The idea of “brand vs. performance” is over. The most successful cases balanced emotional storytelling with measurable results. LiveRamp and AdExchanger reported that there is a crisis with traditional metrics; media fragmentation demands new models of measurement and contextual signals, with greater transparency and ethical use of data.
Outstanding Latin American Achievements
Latin America also shone at Cannes Lions 2025:
- Brazil made history by becoming the first country to receive the Creative Country of the Year recognition, a distinction that celebrates a nation’s sustained creative excellence (Cannes Lions, 2025c).
- Brazil also secured a Grand Prix in the Entertainment Lions for Gaming category with the campaign “Call of Discounts” by Mercado Livre / GUT São Paulo (Cannes Lions, 2025d).
- Puerto Rico also achieved a Grand Prix in the Entertainment for Music category with the campaign “Tracking Bad Bunny” by DDB Latina Puerto Rico for Rimas Music, a work that combined cultural identity, creativity, and local pride (AdWeek, 2025c).
- In total, the festival received around 27,000 entries worldwide, with a 16% increase in Latin American participation compared to the previous year, consolidating the region as an emerging hub of global creativity (MMM Online, 2025).

- For marketing: redirect investment to platforms that allow measuring both brand and performance; integrate AI with business metrics; bet on emotional storytelling when it’s substantiated; build alliances with creators as strategic partners.
