Introduction:

Hello, I am Carlos Valdez, Founder and Director of Marketing and Sales, and this is my video blog for July 5, 2024, and the text goes as follows:

Today we are going to explore how companies are using artificial intelligence (AI) according to five recent studies. We will start with a study from the Pew Research Center on the use of AI in the United States, followed by a study published in the Harvard Business Review on how AI is being used in various applications. We will continue with a McKinsey study on the adoption of AI in companies, then cover the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Survey on the use of AI in marketing, and finally, a study from HubSpot on the use of AI in sales. Let's get started!

  1. Pew Research Center: Use of AI in the United States

Our first study comes from the Pew Research Center. This study reveals that the use of ChatGPT and other AI tools is on the rise in the United States. According to the survey, 23% of U.S. adults have used AI, a significant increase from 18% in July 2023.

The three most common uses of AI mentioned in this study are:

  • Tasks at work: 20% of employed adults have used AI for work tasks, up from 8% in March 2023.
  • Learning something new: 17% of adults have used AI to learn new things.
  • Entertainment: 17% of adults have used AI for entertainment, such as games and recreational activities.
  1. Harvard: Applications of Generative AI

The second study is from the Harvard Business Review and focuses on how people are using generative AI. The researchers identified 100 different applications of generative AI, divided into six main categories:

  • Content creation (23%)
  • Technical assistance (21%)
  • Professional and personal support (20%)
  • Learning and education (16%)
  • Hobbies and recreation (13%)
  • Research and analysis (10%)

This study highlights the versatility of generative AI and its widespread adoption in various areas.

  1. McKinsey: Adoption of AI in Companies

Our third study is from McKinsey & Company, which analyzes the adoption of AI in companies worldwide. According to the report, 72% of organizations have adopted AI in at least one business function, a significant increase from previous years. The adoption of generative AI has also increased, reaching 65%.

In terms of its specific use in marketing and sales, 34% of companies use AI in these areas. The most common uses include:

  • Content support for marketing strategy (16%)
  • Personalized marketing (15%)
  • Identification and prioritization of sales leads (8%)

This study shows how AI is being integrated into multiple operational areas to improve efficiency and productivity.

  1. CMO Survey: Use of AI in Marketing

The fourth study comes from the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Survey, which examines the use of AI in marketing. According to this report, companies are using AI to improve sales productivity, customer satisfaction, and reduce marketing costs. The adoption of AI tools is transforming marketing strategies, with a positive impact on campaign effectiveness and content personalization. This study highlights how AI is revolutionizing the field of marketing.

  1. HubSpot: Use of AI in Sales

Finally, we have a study from HubSpot that analyzes the use of AI in sales. According to HubSpot, AI is significantly changing the sales process, helping sales teams identify and prioritize potential customers, personalize marketing strategies, and provide real-time support during customer conversations. The most common uses of AI in sales include:

  • Identification and prioritization of sales leads (17%)
  • Personalization of marketing strategies (15%)
  • Real-time support during sales conversations (8%)

AI tools are also being used for predictive analysis, allowing companies to anticipate customer needs and adjust their offerings accordingly.

Conclusion:

In summary, these studies show how artificial intelligence is being adopted in a variety of sectors and business functions. From improving productivity in marketing and sales to content personalization and technical assistance, AI is transforming the way companies operate and interact with their customers.
